​Andrew Gadd studied at Chelsea and Falmouth School of arts, receiving a 1st Class Honours degree before going onto the The Royal Academy Schools and winning The Gold medal for painting. After leaving college he was represented by Agnews Gallery, 43 Old Bond Street. He made five solo shows with them between 1995 and 2010 and created a reputation as one of the leading figurative artists of his generation.
Gadd's work has been championed by many of the leading art critics, John Berger, Brian Sewell, Edward Lucy Smith and Andrew Lambirth. This work has been exhibited in Galleries in Basel, Milan, Bologna and New York, and has paintings in private collections across America, South Africa and throughout Europe. His paintings can still been seen in the permanent collections of the Royal Academy of Arts London and The Metropolitan Museum in New York.
